Pernicious Weed was a game commissioned by BAR SK and Garage Project to celebrate the Garage Project’s classic IPA for a special event in Wellington, NZ. Since this first event, Pernicious Weed (the game) has gone on to tour Hong Kong and Korea at multiple Garage Project events.
Myself and Adrian Tosello developed Pernicious Weed in the space of a week, making use of a limited colour palette and minimal 3D aesthetic. The intention was to create a challenging, short and repayable experience ideal for display in a bar environment. A custom arcade style controller was created by Louie of Bar SK for the event.
